Karen Kiley - Owner
Karen became aware of the many challenges of aging in place as her mother decided to remain in her home. After a good deal of research, phone calls and discussions; modifications were implemented in the home to enhance safety measures for her mother. It was during that time that Karen realized how helpful it would be for seniors to be able to trust one company to perform a safety assessment, discuss recommendations and complete installations. With her background at Warner Bros. Discovery and The Gillette Company she was often asked for recommendations for good handymen/women for home repairs. Karen decided she wanted to fill both needs by providing handyman services for busy adults as well as supporting seniors who choose to age in place. TruBlue House Care offers a business model that offers all that and more. Karen's previous experience includes leading the build team, who during her tenure, managed the design and construction of a dozen HGTV high performing Giveaway Homes (Dream Home, Smart Home and Urban Oasis). Prior to working on the homes, Karen managed the building operations of Discovery's US facilities.

This was my first home project that I had to handle on my own since my husband passed away, so I was pretty nervous about it. Karen Kiley made the whole process relatively easy, from providing an estimate to handling a problem that came up a few weeks after the work was finished (we weren't aware of the problem until there was some torrential rain). She kept me informed through out the process of who was coming and when. She did on-site visits almost everyday that work was being done. Everyone of the workers were professional, respectful of property, and cleaned up at the end of each work day. ”

I also ran a few bigger future projects by them which includes demolition of a wall of cubbies, adding a door to built in shelves and building a coat closet.
