About the Owner
Jodi Phillips & Michael Smith
Jodi Phillips and Michael Smith are a dedicated local team committed to providing professional, compassionate home maintenance and handyman services throughout the Culpeper region.
Jodi was born in Winchester, VA, and has lived in Virginia her entire life. A Culpeper High School graduate, she spent more than three years working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, where she developed a deep passion for serving the senior community. Having witnessed firsthand the risks seniors face from falls in the home, Jodi is driven to make homes safer and more accessible. In addition to her healthcare background, she brings years of hands-on experience remodeling her own homes, making her uniquely skilled in both safety and home repair.
Michael was born in Florida but has called Virginia home since 1989. He graduated from high school in Fauquier County and has lived in the Culpeper/Fredericksburg area for many years. Michael’s father was a general contractor and later operated a successful construction scheduling business in Virginia, where Michael spent several years learning the ins and outs of the building industry. That foundation sparked a lifelong passion for quality craftsmanship and reliable service.
Together, Jodi and Michael combine their skills, experience, and shared values to bring a high level of care and professionalism to TruBlue of Culpeper. They are especially passionate about helping seniors age safely in place and offering busy families dependable, worry-free home maintenance.
They live in the Culpeper/Orange area with their blended family of five children and two dogs. As longtime residents, they take pride in serving their neighbors with integrity, respect, and personal attention.

Robert
Originally from Connecticut, Robert moved to Virginia about 12 years ago. He has a large, blended family with his beautiful wife and kids. They mean the world to him, and he loves watching them grow into their own unique selves.
Robert has spent many years in home maintenance and repairs. He’s been at it since he was 8 years old, following his father around with a tool belt and a hammer. Electrical work and carpentry are his favorite parts of the trade.
