TruBlue Home Service Ally Opens in North Johnson County, KS to Support Seniors and Busy Families

Across the country, families are looking for trusted help to keep their homes safe, comfortable, and well-maintained. For older adults who want to stay in their homes as they age, and for busy families juggling careers and kids, those needs can feel especially urgent. That’s where TruBlue Home Service Ally steps in.

Recently, Franchising.com highlighted the arrival of TruBlue in North Johnson County, Kansas, led by local owner Jeff Kinkade.

Meeting the Need for Safe, Reliable Home Care

TruBlue’s approach goes beyond basic handyman work. The company focuses on senior home safety modifications, routine handyman projects, and subscription-based home maintenance plans that make life easier and safer for families.

Services can be as simple as changing lightbulbs and fixing hardware or as important as installing grab bars, replacing hard-to-turn door handles, and remodeling bathrooms for better accessibility. These solutions are designed to help seniors remain independent and to give families peace of mind.

“Almost no one is offering home assessments, modifications, and maintenance programs for seniors, despite staggering demand,” said TruBlue President Sean Fitzgerald. “We’ve seen tremendous growth because of this need, and we’re proud to fill that gap.”

A Local Owner with a Personal Mission

Kinkade, a longtime Kansas City entrepreneur, knows firsthand how important it is to prepare homes for aging in place. After decades in the home improvement industry — and after watching his own father struggle with mobility challenges — he felt called to bring TruBlue to his community.

“This is a chance to help people who need a service not many companies are offering,” Kinkade explained. Together with his son, Will, he will operate TruBlue of North Johnson County, serving seniors and families across the area.

Helping Seniors Age in Place with Confidence

The demand is clear. A University of Michigan study revealed that 88% of adults ages 50–80 want to remain in their homes as long as possible. TruBlue supports that goal through professional safety assessments and customized maintenance plans that prevent small issues from becoming major hazards.
